Auditions for TV Commercials

Categories: Blogroll, New Age | November 3rd, 2009 | by allaccess | no comments

At most TV commercials casting calls you’ll get a chance to meet casting directors and the staff that helps organize the auditions It’s important that you not only treat the casting directors with respect but also anyone else that is there at the auditions. You need to treat everyone with respect because you never know if that person in the elevator is a casting director or producer.

Fill out the form and find open casting calls.

The casting directors at the audition will have seen a lot of people. You should make the job of the casting directors as easy as possible. The bottom line is to be prepared and do not waste anyone’s time. If you really want that role, do not burn any bridges with anyone, especially at a casting call audition.

Keep your resume and professionally taken headshot photo with you so that you can give it to the casting directors. You want to make sure that you have your agent’s information to give to the staff at the audition and casting call place. Agents may be helpful if you don’t have one. They will find you a job and won’t get paid until they do. Then they will take usually around 10% of your paycheck for that job they found for you.

You may be asked to do a lot of things to prepare for the commercial role. You’ll need to think on your feet so get some experience by taking acting classes where you make things up as you go along. Casting directors will tell you to read some lines from the commercial so that they can make a decision if you are perfect for the role or not.

Here is a list of music video auditions in your area.

Be sure to always be friendly and don’t forget to smile. Good luck and I hope to see you in the next TV commercial audition.
