London Hotels

Kensington, London is the site of the world’s best museums and and some delightful residential areas. Earls Court is nearby with wonderful cheap London hotels, while  Chelsea, with its popular shopping areas, is on the doorstep.  You can Kensington Palace, a royal home designed by Christopher Wren in 1689. The State Apartments and the Court Dress Collection are well worth a visit, with paintings and furniture from the royal collection. Kensington Gardens was formerly part of Hyde Park, until it became the gardens for Kensington Palace. But now open to all, these gardens are more formal than the people’s park, Hyde Park, and include a sunken garden and pond. You can also see a statue of Peter Pan, donated by the author. There are many great London Hotels and bed and breakfasts nearby, which are also handy for Knightsbridge and the famous museums in the area.
